My Internship: First day of internship @ IHPC

0900 hr @ IHPC

Together with Wilson , You Hock and Leonard, we went into the IHPC office at Fusionopolis. We look for Ms Janice, HR officer, to report our first day of internship. She gave us quite a number of forms for us to find in our particulars and brought us to meet our supervisor, Kevin. Kevin was busy with a presentation later on, so he just brought us to our room and gave us a short briefing before he rush off for his presentation. When we got into our room, we were so amazed by that. 4 desktop consist of 2 IMAC and 2 MAC notebook. And our desks are facing the windows with nice sceneary outside the building. Due to first day of work and supervisor was busy, therefore we surf the net till lunch time. We had lunch together at Holland Village together with some of the advance computing colleagues.

After lunch, we had some chatting session to introduce ourselves and got to know all the staffs in advance computing. Next, Kevin gave us some topic to research on for the next following days and told us about the plan for the next one month. Basically, we will start our training on C/C++ on next tuesday and it will last for about 3 weeks. This is to provide us a base on the programming so that we will be able to handle the upcoming projects that will be assigned to us.

After that, we did our research till off work.
